Artwork backstory

Lake Louise Ski Resort in Lake Louise, Alberta

Painted in 2012

Lake Louise has long been a leader among Canadian ski resorts, and they’ve never been content to rest on their laurels. The resort is constantly expanding and improving, building new lifts and opening new terrain. That’s how they garnered the title of the biggest ski resort in the Canadian Rockies, with over 4,000 acres of skiable terrain. Lake Louise is made up of four distinct mountain faces, and each one has a good mix of terrain, from low-angle groomers to steeper, more challenging runs. That means that no matter which zone you choose to ski in, there will be something for the whole family in that area. Pair that with eleven high-speed lifts and you’ve got a whole heck of a lot of mountain to explore.
