Even folks who have never touched a pair of skis in their life still perk up when they hear mention of Vail. It might just be the ultimate Colorado ski hill. It’s big, it’s famous, and it gets a lot of press, all for very good reason. It’s got everything a skier needs, whether it's your first season riding chairlifts, or you’re a seasoned veteran. Vail’s skiable terrain spans well over five thousand acres and three-thousand vertical feet, so it’s easy to crush long laps top to bottom or spend your time lapping your favorite zone and getting to know it better. Vail has it all, and then some, from extreme terrain in the back bowls to wide-open groomers that the whole family will enjoy. And it’s conveniently located a quick trip from Denver.
