Winter Park Ski Resort in Winter Park, Colorado
Painted in 1990, revised in 2008
When it comes to legacy, Winter Park has it in spades. It’s Colorado’s oldest continuously operated ski resort, with skiers taking to the slopes every winter since 1939. And with that legacy comes a whole lot of history. Winter Park has been slowly growing and improving over the decades since that first winter, and now it’s one of the top destinations in the Front Range. It doesn’t hurt that it’s also one of the closest ski resorts to Denver, it’s just 67 miles from the buzzing metropolis to the slopes. And those slopes are nothing to scoff at, with over three thousand acres of skiable terrain, Winter Park has something for everyone. From Mary Jane to Eagle Wind, Winter Park’s extensive network of lifts makes it easy to get around the mountain and explore.

Throughout his 30 year career he has worked at the smallest hills and the most expansive resorts in North America. He has left his mark in South America, Australia, Asia and Europe too. And even if you have never shared a bottomless powder day with him, he has always been close by.
