Iconic Illustration of my favorite place that I call home

In my mind, this is the quintessential picture of the Colorado Front Range. In the late 80s early 1990s it was included in a Colorado brochure that I came across when I first moved out to Colorado to go to CSU.

I still have the brochure over 30 years later. I never thought that I would be able to identify the artist or locate a higher fidelity picture of it. I'm absolutely thrilled to have figured out that the artist was the extremely talented James Niehues.

This illustration has an intangible wonderfulness about it that has kept me drawn to it for over 3 decades now. I'm in a tight spot financially right now, but when I get the funds together I'm going treat myself to a large print of this glorious piece of art.
