Mt Sunapee Ski Area in Newbury, New Hampshire
Painted in 1998
Located near Claremont, New Hampshire, Mount Sunapee is special for several reasons. By the numbers, it’s not the biggest or tallest ski resort in the area, but going off numbers alone fails to capture what makes Sunapee stand out. Located on a State Park, Sunapee has a great snowmaking system (97% of its terrain is covered by snowmaking) and an impressive terrain park program with four distinct parks and an ever-rotating cast of features. And eleven lifts mean it’s easy to access whatever area of the mountain catches your fancy.
