With the high concentration of ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area, visitors can be forgiven for mixing them up sometimes. But, if you’ve ever skied Kirkwood, it’s sure to stick out in your mind. Located near South Lake Tahoe, Kirkwood gets everything right. It’s a big resort, with big terrain, and big amenities. With 2,300 acres, and over 65 named ski runs, it’s easy to get out, spread out, and explore. And Kirkwood makes that exploration even easier with 15 lifts that serve the whole mountain smoothly and efficiently. 58% of Kirkwood’s terrain is rated for advanced or above skiers, so there are plenty of steeps to keep the strongest skiers satisfied, while immaculate groomers lower on the mountain provide a stress-free environment to hone your skills.
