Powder Mountain Resort in Eden, Utah

Painted in 2011

The state of Utah knows how to do skiing right, and Powder Mountain is no exception. This gem sits a little away from the more well-known Wasatch resorts, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less of a worthy destination. Located just 19 miles from Ogden, Utah, Powder Mountain has something special for every type of skier. Powder Mountain’s six chair lifts service plenty of beginner and intermediate terrain, so it’s a great place to head if you’re still getting comfortable skiing. And when you are ready to step things up, Powder Mountain has plenty of expert runs to test your mettle on. A big part of what makes Powder Mountain so special is its size. It’s got over 8,000 total acres of skiing available, with nearly 3,000 acres of that terrain served by lifts, making it the biggest ski area in the US. All of that acreage means there’s plenty of space to spread out, and no reason to ever feel crowded on a run.
