The Man Behind The Maps Book
Sun Peaks Ski Resort
Canadian skiing has much more to offer than just Whistler Blackcomb. And while that resort is well worth a visit, there are many other great resorts like Sun Peaks to explore. While this resort sometimes flies a little under the radar, it really shouldn’t. In fact, Sun Peaks is actually the second largest ski resort in Canada, with 4,200 acres of skiable terrain - it’s nearly impossible to experience the whole mountain in a single trip. Sun Peaks isn’t the sort of hill you visit once and have figured out. Instead, it’s best experienced over and over again, as you come more familiar with the hill and figure out your favorite laps and secret stashes.
Jame Niehues called this Sun Peaks ski map “one of the most challenging resorts to portray in one view, not only due to its size but thanks to the expansive lift infrastructure that spans several different aspects. It’s the attention to detail and the way that James was able to capture all the magic in one image that makes this trail map a great memento for any skier that’s had the pleasure of the mountain.
"The 'Rembrandt of snow' has published a hefty coffee table book with a collection of nearly all of his hand-painted maps."

Timeless art for your home
Hand-painted maps require the best reproduction process available. Each illustration starts with a high resolution digital scan. It is then printed on museum quality cotton paper using the latest HDR ink-jet technology.
