White Pass Ski Area in Naches, Washington
Painted in 2010
White Pass is an often overlooked Washington gem but is beloved by many. Situated between Yakima and Olympia, it’s sometimes passed over in favor of better-known hills. That’s a huge mistake. White Pass is an incredible ski destination with a dedicated local clientele. It’s big, it’s challenging, and it’s beautiful. Six chairlifts serve 1,400 acres and 2,000 vertical feet of inbounds skiing, with 70% of that terrain falling into the intermediate to advanced categories. That’s not to say that beginners will be overwhelmed though, there are plenty of mellow groomers for new skiers and riders to get comfortable on. And White Pass offers night skiing so you can stretch your ski day even longer.
